Leslie A. Lajewski is a Partner of the firm and has been representing management in employment litigation, agency and ADR matters for more than fifteen years. Her broad range of experience includes nationwide representation of employers in cases alleging all types of discrimination and harassment claims, violation of family leave, equal pay, pregnancy, whistle blower and wage and hour statutes, violation of collective bargaining agreements and employment contracts, and violation of other public policy and common law tort claims. She has regularly represented management in insurance-covered litigation for years and is fully familiar with the various issues that arise in such litigation. Ms. Lajewski has been included on the roster of court-approved mediators in the New Jersey Statewide Mediation Program and has served as an arbitrator on the Arbitration Panel for the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Newark Vicinage. Through this experience she is well versed in all types of alternative dispute resolution techniques. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Lajewski regularly advises and educates in-house counsel, human resource managers, and risk management professionals on federal and state labor and employment laws. She frequently assists such professionals in establishing and carrying out policies, procedures and decisions regarding all realms of the employment relationship, including hiring, firing, promotions, compensation, leaves and reasonable accommodations. She also assists in developing employee handbooks and policies and routinely provides training to both management and rank-and-file employees on compliance with various federal and state anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws and regulations. Ms. Lajewski has presented seminars and published numerous articles on a wide range of employment law issues including workplace violence, national origin and religious discrimination, sexual harassment, family leave, changes in the last decade in employment law litigation, and the application of the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination in employment litigation.
