Kim Mercado Washington is an Associate of the firm and a member of the Employment Litigation, Counseling and Training Practice Group. Ms. Washington's practice focuses on the defense of cases involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, and other statutory claims. In that capacity, she conducts investigations for employers in relation to complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, whistle blowing and other employee issues. Additionally, Ms. Washington regularly advises human resource professionals, in-house counsel and risk managers on day to day employment issues such as leaves of absence, reductions-in-force, and employee discipline. She frequently provides training to management on compliance with various federal and state anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws and regulations.

Ms. Washington served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Harvey Weissbard, J.A.D. for the 2003-2004 Term. From 2004 to 2006, she was associated with the litigation department of Lum, Danzis, Drasco & Positan, LLC. Ms. Washington joined Coughlin Duffy LLP in June 2006.
