Kevin MacGillivray is a Partner of the firm and his practice concentrates in commercial litigation, insurance coverage and environmental litigation. Mr. MacGillivray served as judicial clerk for the Honorable Wilfred P. Diana and the Honorable Victor Ashrafi in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division, Somerset County, for the 1998-1999 Term. Thereafter, he became associated with the law firm of McElroy, Deutsch & Mulvaney, LLP where he remained until 2004. He joined Coughlin Duffy LLP at its inception in March 2004.
Mr. MacGillivray has extensive experience representing insurers in matters involving a multitude of coverage types and programs, including general liability, umbrella/excess, property, environmental, employment, errors and omissions, professional liability, commercial automobile, and truckers liability. Mr. MacGillivray has participated in the presentation of seminars to national and international insurance and reinsurance companies on topics including: disclaimers, reservation of rights, non-waiver agreements, additional insured coverage issues, captive insurance companies, global warming claims and class action trends in the United States.
