Daniel Markham is a Member of the Firm and he concentrates in commercial litigation, appellate practice, and employment law.
He also represents fashion models and agents in connection with contract negotiations and intellectual property issues. Mr. Markham had been a litigation associate at the national law firm of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan LLP in its New York office and was later a founding member of Wrobel, Markham & Schatz, LLP. He joined Coughlin Duffy LLP as a Member at its inception in March 2004.
In 2000, Mr. Markham won a landmark corporate director indemnification case before the New York Court of Appeals. (Biondi v. Beekman Hill Housing Apartment Corporation, 94 N.Y.2d 659 (2000) affirming Biondi v. Beekman Hill House Apt. Corp., 257 A.D. 2d 76, 692 N.Y.S.2d 304, 1999 N.Y. Slip Op. 05430 (1st Dep't 1999)). This decision has been named by the New York Law Journal as one of the 20th Century's 10 Most Influential Co-op Law Decisions.
