Robert Muilenburg is a Member of the Firm and his practice concentrates in insurance coverage, reinsurance, environmental, toxic tort, construction defects and commercial litigation. His insurance coverage litigation has an emphasis on construction defects, environmental liability and professional liability. He has extensive litigation experience in a wide range of coverage issues in state and federal court throughout the country. His environmental practice focuses on environmental contamination and toxic tort litigation. He has litigated numerous CERCLA and Spill Act claims involving landfill contamination as well as private contribution claims between corporate parties. He has also defended owners and contractors in construction defect litigation. He was formerly a partner with McElroy, Deutsch & Mulvaney, LLP and he joined Coughlin Duffy LLP at its inception in March 2004.

HMHTTC v. Dahn Trucking. Defended trucking company in claim for cleanup of spill by emergency response contractor. Obtained no cause verdict on all claims after one-week jury trial.
