Robert Re is a Member of the Firm and he concentrates in the areas of insurance coverage, reinsurance, professional liability and commercial litigation. For several years, Mr. Re served as the Associate General Counsel to a New Jersey based property and casualty insurer, concentrating in the areas of commercial and professional liability disputes and bad faith litigation. Thereafter, he joined the law firm of McElroy, Deutsch & Mulvaney, LLP where he later served as a Member of the firm until 2004. He joined Coughlin Duffy LLP at its inception.
Mr. Re has extensive experience representing insurers and reinsurers in both litigated and arbitrated matters, and is an active member of ARIAS. He has counseled clients on a multitude of coverage types and programs, including professional liability, directors and officers, general liability and surety. Additionally, Mr. Re regularly counsels clients in regard to insurance licensing and regulatory issues.
Mr. Re has spoken before the New Jersey and Central Chapter of CPCU on the topics of reinsurance trends and the availability and desirability of terrorism coverage in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
