The Rising Stars selection process comprises a statewide or regional survey in which nearly 800,000 attorneys are invited to nominate the best attorneys they've personally observed in action. The research department of Key Professional Media then conducts its own examination of each nominee's professional achievements including, but not limited to, their experience, verdicts and settlements, honors and awards, and scholarly lectures and writings. Only 2.5 percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion in Rising Stars.
