Coughlin Duffy LLP has been ranked as the #3 Best Place to Work in New Jersey by NJBIZ, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, and the Garden State Council-SHRM. The rankings were announced at an award ceremony on April 24, 2006. Among the 50 companies recognized, Coughlin Duffy was ranked above all other law firms but one. Reed Smith, LLP, with offices in Newark and Princeton, was ranked #20 and Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, PA of Bridgewater was ranked #22 in the Medium-Sized Category (25-199 employees). Stark & Stark, of Lawrenceville, came in at # 8 and Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione, of Newark, ranked #4 in the Large-Sized Category (200 or more employees).

The firm celebrated alongside other well known companies such as Quest Diagnostics (#12), Roche (#17), Deloitte & Touche (#18), and Bank of America (#22).
